Public Health PSA: Prevent the Spread of the Flu and Common Cold

As of February 11, 2020, NC has not had a confirmed case of 2019 novel coronavirus according to the NC Department of Health and Human Services. To learn more about the virus, see the info-graphic below. You can prevent the spread of the flu or common cold by taking the following actions:

- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid contact with others who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve, not your hands, when coughing or sneezing. nCoV-Factsheet 02-11-2020
