Q. How do I report a leak?
A. A. If you have a leak between the hours of 9:00am and 4:30pm call 252-257-3645. Non-business hours and Holidays, call the Warren County Sheriff’s Department at 252-257-3456.
Q. What is the cost of a new water/sewer tap?

Note: All new sewer taps will have a clean out installed by the county where applicable.
Q. I am moving, how do I have my water disconnected?
A. Call or come by our office and ask us to read and lock your
meter. Your deposit will be applied to your final bill. A forwarding address and
a new phone number should be provided. Until the Public Utilities office is notified
of the move, the customer shall be held responsible for all service rendered.
Q. Can I access my account information on line?
A. Not at this time. However, you can make payments online HERE.
Q. How do I apply for water service?
A. In person. An application is online for you to printout and
bring with your deposit fee and one form of identification. The deposit fee is determined
on water ($125.00) or water/sewer ($150.00), as well as a $25.00 non-refundable activation fee.
Q. Does Warren County Public Works offer an automatic draft program?
A. Yes. Our Automatic Draft form is available on line for you to
print out. Please complete this form and return to our office either in person,
by fax or via US Mail. Please remember to attach a voided check. The Automatic Draft
form cannot be processed without a voided check.
Q. Do you provide a night deposit box?
A. Yes. A night deposit box
is located on the side of our building to the left of the drive-through window.
Any drops after 4:30 pm will be considered next day business.
Q. Is the drive-through window in operation?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Water service is not currently available to me but is scheduled
for my area, how can I sign up?
A. . Construction for District III is scheduled in three phases. Construction in the District III, Phase I and District III, Phase II (original design) service area is complete. Construction on Change Order 5, extending the District III, Phase II service area is in progress. Please contact our office to determine if your property is within the District III, Phase II Change Order 5 area or within the District III, Phase III area. Once determined, an application is on line for you to print out. Please complete this form and return it to our office either in person, by fax or via US Mail. Please remember that payment of $150.00 is required.
Q. If I signup for a water tap during construction, taking advantage
of the early sign up incentive, and a water tap is made available to me during construction
but I do not connect to the countywide water system within 90 days of availability,
will I receive a monthly flat rate charge until such time as I connect to the countywide
