Q. Is there a cost to take items to the Transfer Station?
A. Yes, a tipping fee of sixty-five ($65) dollars per ton for transfer
station waste and sixteen ($16) dollars per ton for yard waste.
Q. Is there a cost to take items to the Convenience Centers?
A. No
Q. What kind of trash will the Convenience Centers accept?
- Bulky Items (mattresses, bed frames, couches, chairs, other furniture, etc.) This waste is placed into the open top unit.
- White Goods (washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, air conditioners, etc.)
*White goods are not received at 725 US Highway 158 Business West-Site 2.
- Commingle Recycling
Convenience Centers 1 through 9 are equipped to accept Commingled (mixed) Recycling, which includes a wide range of materials, reduces the amount of disposal garbage, and does not require sorting. The following items are accepted:
- Aluminum and Metal Food Cans
- Paperboard (cereal and shoe boxes)
- Clean White Paper
- Gable-top Paper Cartons (milk cartons)
- Aluminum Foil
- ABC Plastic Beverage Containers
- Plastic Bottles and Jugs (no lids/caps)
- Newspaper/Magazines/Advertising
- Aseptic Juice Boxes
- Junk Mail and Catalogs
- Six Pack Rings
- Glass Bottles (green, brown, and clear)
- Tin and Steel Cans
- Corrugated Cardboard (Separate Container) - Please Flatten Large Boxes.
Q. What kind of trash will the Convenience Centers not accept?
- Commercial, industrial or contractor waste
- Waste from residents outside of Warren County
- Burning or smoldering waste
- Yard waste
- Waste that is radioactive, untreated, regulated,
- Poisons, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides
- infectious, hazardous or liquid
- drums/tanks
- Dead animals
- Construction demolition
Below is a list of Commingle Recyclables which are not accepted at the Convenience Centers:
- Yogurt Cups/Margarine Containers
- Stams and Stickers in Junk Mail
- No Car Parts or Light Bulbs
- No Plastic Cups, Plates or Utensils
- No Garbage, Syringes, or Glassware
- No Disposable Diapers or Dish Rags
- No Paper Towels, Plates or Napkins
- Frozen Food Trays/Plastic Wrap
- No Food or Soiled Paper
- No Lids, Caps or Plastic Bags
- No Scrap Aluminum or Non-ferrous Metal
- No Styrofoam Containers or Pellets
- No Plastic Take-out Food Containers
- No Ceramics and Dishes
Q. Will the Transfer Station accept these items?
A. Yes, with the exception of liquid, hazardous waste and Out-of-county waste, the items listed are acceptable. However a Tipping Fee will be charged for the disposal of these items.
There will be a tipping fee for non-household items taken to the Transfer Station:
Inert Debris Tipping Fee of $18 per ton shall be assessed on all disposal inert debris, yard waste and land-clearing debris, which is brought to the Landfill.
A Transfer Station Tipping Fee of $65 per ton shall be assessed for all waste brought to the County's Transfer Station.
An Annual Household User Fee of $115 per household or business not subject to municipal taxation.
Q. Does Warren County operate the Convenience Centers?
A. No, the county contracts with Waste Industries for the operations
of the centers.

Q. May I have items which have been brought to the Convenience Center by someone else?
A. For safety and health reasons, items which have been placed inside of the open top container or compactor are not allowed to be removed.
