**COVID-19 Update: Registration for Youth Baseball and Softball will begin on Monday, March 29th and will run through Saturday, April 10th.   The gym will reopen on Tuesday, March 16th on a limited schedule.  Anyone needing to communicate with Parks and Recreation staff should first call 252-257-2272.

The Warren County Parks and Recreation Department currently owns and maintain four recreational parks in Warren County:

GUIDELINES FOR REOPENING GYM

 

Signage will be in place that indicates PPE and the three W’s will be enforced.  All participants and spectators must adhere to the Covid-19 safety measures.  Everybody will have their temperature checked upon entering the gym and the screening questions will also be asked of all individuals.  If temps are elevated, entry will not be allowed.  It is mandatory that all participants wear a mask when entering/exiting and during their time in the gym. If someone refuses to wear a mask they will not be allowed.  Also masks will be available if you need one.  Spectators must wear a mask at all times.  Participants must bring their own water bottle. There will be no water fountain usage.   The gym will be sanitized at each break by staff and will amount to three times a day.  Documentation will be kept on the sanitation.  Hand sanitizer will be available upon entry of gym.  

 

GYM USAGE

 

The gym will be open from 8:30-12:00, Tuesdays & Thursdays, for pickleball and walking, the gym will be open from 1:00-4:00 for adults and participants will be limited to three people per basket.  No games will be allowed and it is only open for shoot around.  Gym will be open from 4:30-7:30 for Youth structured free play. Youth structured free play will consist of a shoot around time and time for structured activity that still allows social distancing (3 point shootout, knock out, around the world, skills activities). The gym will be sanitized at each break in time.  The gym will not be open on nights that the PODS are in the gym.
