Welcome to the 2022 Benefits Open Enrollment

May 16-May 27, 2022

The time has arrived!! Open Enrollment begins Monday, May 16! You will be eligible to add, change or cancel your benefit elections from May 16—May 27. If you have questions about your current enrollments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the HR Department. Please note the following information:

You do NOT need to complete a change or enrollment form if you are NOT changing your benefits. Your deductions will continue.

You may enroll in health without dental or vice versa if you choose; this is no longer a combined deduction  

The County currently pays for $25,000 Basic Term Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance for employees. However, you may decide to add an optional additional $20,000 to this policy paid by monthly premium based on the employee’s age. The enrollment form, premium worksheet and Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Form are attached. NOTE: The EOI Form is specific to whether you are a NC or VA resident. 

Complete this form if you are enrolling in the additional coverage AND/OR if you need to update your beneficiary information 

We have launched a brand new EAP that is designed to identify our employees’ mental, physical and emotional needs through counseling services and many other resources! You will also find this service offers legal, financial, child and eldercare options. This is a FREE offering to employees!

To ensure that each of you has the opportunity to get your questions answered and have personal enrollment assistance, Leonard and Associates will be meeting with each employee via Zoom or Phone.   Time slots are on a first come first serve basis and we ask that all employees schedule a time, even if you plan to waive all available options.
